Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager with conveyor systems experience for our customer in Novi, MI. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing automation supplier.
Responsibilities:
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling and supporting the firm’s complete product and service offerings to an assigned set of named accounts and distributors. Focusing on customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunities, the most important customer interactions are face-to-face meetings.
- Manages distributor and direct client accounts to increase sales, maintain high profitability, and increase awareness of Company goods and services
- Penetrates assigned accounts by:
- Selling new or additional products or services to current buyers; and
- Finding additional buyers within the existing customer location; and
- Selling to additional customer locations
- Sells the firm’s complete offering of products and services
- Leads all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management
- Develops customer account plans for strategic clients that service relevant customer needs, prioritizes selling opportunities, and establishes actionable plans for success
- Proactively manages customers’ satisfaction by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring overall order progress
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of material handling competition and the material handling market
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services (includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of customer satisfaction)
- Travel when necessary including outside travel to customers’ premises
- Overtime if necessary
- Walking in manufacturing facilities and possibly climbing ladders
- Above-average communication skills are required
- This position includes periods of telephone-intensive work and may require sitting for long periods.
- Normal working conditions include: remaining stationary for 50% of the time; moving/traversing throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operating a computer and other productivity machinery; inspecting documents; communicating with others through talking/hearing; reading/identifying/assessing forms and correspondence.
Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum six years of sales experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment; or a record of achievement in the Account Manager position.
- PC proficiency
- Proficiency in reading and understanding engineered drawings
- AutoCAD experience desirable

Working within a dual role as Marketing Manager and Technical Recruiter at M-Team Solutions, Bryce Watts deploys marketing campaigns that drive qualified candidates to apply to our client’s open positions. Bryce lives in Davison, Michigan, with his wife Kaelee, and dog Kessel. Outside of work, Bryce loves working out at the Davison Athletic Club, playing volleyball with his wife, and researching all things blockchain-related.
