IIoT Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are currently searching for an IIoT Controls Engineer to help with the new IIoT system and controls development for automotive manufacturing processes. This is a contract-to-direct opportunity, working onsite at our customer in the Livonia, MI, area.  
You will:  
  • Provide a strong skillset and background in code and application development.
  • Complete IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industrial Controls Application Solution Development for Focused Projects and Defined Priorities.
  • Benchmark new advanced technologies and develop supplier partnerships to benefit future state applications.
  • Have the ability to think “outside the box” to generate feasible and beneficial solutions to tackle complex problems.
  • Ability to work in a team using Agile Scrum methodology and take direction from scrum leader.

Job Requirements

Preferred Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of code development experience in controls-based solutions
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Siemens TIA Portal Software code development experience and working knowledge of SCL or STL language
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell RSLogix
  • Knowledge of Mfg 4.0 (Industry 4.0) key principles – data collection, AI, machine learning, IIoT, Networking, and Controls architectures, including reading/editing Engineering Documents
  • Knowledge and experience with Plant Floor IT Systems
  • Desire to learn and switch between programming languages
  • 2+ years of code development experience using Object-Oriented programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C#, Swift, etc.)
  • Web application code development experience (HTML5, CSS, etc.)

Working within a dual role as Marketing Manager and Technical Recruiter at M-Team Solutions, Bryce Watts deploys marketing campaigns that drive qualified candidates to apply to our client’s open positions. Watts is also responsible for recruiting, recruitment marketing, communications, business development, graphic design, branding, and website development.

When joining the team, Bryce was tasked with increasing Magnum Consulting’s social media presence, creating consistency within branding, and rebuilding from the ground up. Bryce implemented SEO tactics, increasing user flows to the company’s contact, projects, and careers sections.

Bryce lives in Davison, Michigan, with his wife Kaelee, and dog Kessel. Outside of work, Bryce loves working out at the Davison Athletic Club, playing volleyball with his wife, and researching all things blockchain-related.
