Jr. Project Manager - Construction Management

Job Description
We are currently searching for a Jr. Project Manager with training and experience in industrial construction management. This is a direct hire opportunity with our customer in the Novi, MI area.
You will be:
- Using / learning project management methods and techniques to manage the projects you are assigned.
- Managing the project in a supporting role to ensure project goals are met (milestones, profit, planning requirements, reporting requirements) while learning the fundamentals of Project Management.
- Responsible to assist / support / understand the project structure, procedures & strategy.
- The company face to the customer - effective communication and relationship-building skills are required.
- Responsible for maintaining project schedules.
- Problem-solving and working with others.
- Traveling to project job sites as needed
Other Responsibilities:
- Price, track, process, and manage all project changes.
- Responsible for documenting and distributing meeting minutes.
- Meet with customer and salesperson to review project.
- Establish a detailed schedule, establish priorities, and identify long lead times.
- Establish and maintain a cash flow schedule of values.
- Work with accounting to create financial job forecasts, and issue changes to subcontractors.
- Monitor engineering and shops to ensure downstream activities are feasible.
- Review/create/understand/manage all requests for quotation from customers.
- Review/create/understand/manage all scope changes before work proceeds.
- Review/issue/understand/manage major subcontractors.
- Create reports/presentations to keep management aware of job status.
- Review/understand/communicate/coordinate all punch list activities.
- Initiate job close-out
Job Requirements
- Construction Management - 4-year accredited degree.
- Someone who has played a role in a material handling, conveyor, or industrial construction project in the past (engineering, project management, installation) is a plus.
- Must be self-managed & motivated.
- Capable of adapting to new environments and managing emotions in stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Has an eye for detail and is comfortable with creative problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A basic understanding of Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Some understanding of material handling methods and or principles is a plus. Examples include - (engineering, estimating, finances, manufacturing, installation, subcontract management, and negotiation).
- Understanding of Wiring Diagrams and or Mechanical layouts / General arrangement drawings is a plus.
- OSHA 30 training is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Construction Management 4-year accredited degree required.
- 0 – 2+ years experience in Project Management, including previous work experience as a Jr/Project Manager.
- Previous work experience within the automotive, construction, and/ or warehouse industry is a plus.

Working within a dual role as Marketing Manager and Technical Recruiter at M-Team Solutions, Bryce Watts deploys marketing campaigns that drive qualified candidates to apply to our client’s open positions. When joining the team, Bryce was tasked with increasing Magnum Consulting’s social media presence, creating consistency within branding, and rebuilding 4magnum.com from the ground up. Bryce implemented SEO tactics, increasing user flows to the company’s contact, projects, and careers sections.
Bryce lives in Davison, Michigan, with his wife Kaelee, and dog Kessel. Outside of work, Bryce loves working out at the Davison Athletic Club, playing volleyball with his wife, and researching all things blockchain-related.
