Structural Steel Detailer

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer for our customer in Novi, MI. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and plans for structural steel fabrication and erection projects. This is a critical role within our organization, as accurate and detailed plans are essential to ensuring safe and efficient construction. Extensive experience with Tekla Structures is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed shop and erection drawings based on engineering designs, including plans, sections, and elevations.
- Develop accurate bills of materials for fabrication and procurement purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure plans and specifications are accurate and meet project requirements.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with other trades to resolve design and construction issues.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Familiarity with industry standards and building codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.

Working within a dual role as Marketing Manager and Technical Recruiter at M-Team Solutions, Bryce Watts deploys marketing campaigns that drive qualified candidates to apply to our client’s open positions.
